Easy Bread recipe from Baking with Granny. UK recipe with the option to use Plain Flour.

Bread is a recipe I’ve wanted to share on Baking with Granny for quite some time, and right now with all that is going on in the world, it seems like a pretty good time to get my bum in gear and share our Easy Bread recipe with the world.

Scottish Daily Mail

Baking with Granny feature in the Scottish Daily Mail newspaper.

If you follow Baking with Granny on Facebook you will have seen the excitement over the fact we recently done a 5-day feature of recipes with the Scottish Daily Mail. Unfortunately, our feature clashed with the arrival of the “Beast from East”, meaning we were unable to get the last few days worth of newspapers locally – a problem which I understand a lot of people had too!Read More

Banana Nutella Loaf

October 30, 2017 By Amy 6 Comments

Banana Nutella Loaf - The classic banana bread with a chocolate spread twist.

Confession time… I’m not a big fan of Nutella. I know, shock-horror – a major chocoholic like myself, it doesn’t make sense. Don’t get me wrong, I will eat it when it’s part of recipe but I’m not a eating-it-from-the-jar kind of girl. Cheese Bread Sticks

October 18, 2017 By Amy 2 Comments

Cheese Bread Sticks recipe from Baking with Granny. The perfect snack for kids and adults alike.

It used to be a running joke it my family that I could eat my parents out of house & home, something I am now experiencing with my own two kids. As such we always need a good supply of snacks – preferably things that won’t send our dentist into cardiac arrest. Cheesy Bread Sticks have always been a winner with my two and with the schools in Edinburgh being off this week for half term, we decided to get baking and make some of our own.Read More

Belgian Buns

If there’s one bake that reminds me of Papa, it’s Belgian Buns. Whether it’s following a lunch at Greggs or buying them by the tray-full at Costco, he just can’t resist them! And who can blame him?

Banana Loaf

Banana Loaf

Whenever the kids ask me, “what’s your favourite fruit, Mummy?” the answer will always be, bananas! I’ve always been a fan of bananas, in fact anything banana – banana sweeties, banana puddings, banana hair products; I currently have a banana shower gel stood in my shower. So it’s really no surprise that one of my favourite bakes from Granny is her Banana Loaf.
